Three judges from the Supreme Court of Cassation are awarded as first prize winners for their particular contribution to protection of human rights
For their particular contribution to protection of human rights in our country,
judges Kostadiunka Arsova, Mimi Furnadgieva and Albena Boneva are awarded with
the first prize of the Bulgarian Helsinki committee (BHC). The prize is
presented by Mr. Krasimir Kanev the chair of BHC, on 10 December at ceremony
marking Human Rights Day. For their judgment of 30 June 2008 in favour of people
with disabilities, the three Supreme Court judges are the first laureates of the
prize.
